The Baby Expo - Keeping families active with Baked Simba An active and balanced lifestyle is becoming more and more important for parents worldwide, and South African parents are no exception. With the rising percentage of obesity in children, and subsequent health dangers later in life, parents are educating themselves about the ingredients in the snacks their kids eat. The Baby Expo believes in helping parents make knowledgeable decisions when it comes to their children, which is why visitors can find all the experts from the parenting, baby and pregnancy industry at The Baby Expo Cape Town this November.
Baked Simba will also be at The Baby Expo with their recently launched improved snack alternative. These snacks are baked not fried, contain no added MSG, have no artificial colorants or tartrazine and contain zero trans fat. Baked Simba's bright and colourful snacks prove that enjoying improved treats can be fun!
These new improved treats from Baked Simba fit in with The Baby Expo's 2008 theme of ‘Wholesome living for families on the go', and as such Baked Simba have come on board with The Baby Expo Cape Town as the sponsor of the Baked Simba Activity Area. In this area kids can participate in fun activities such as soccer goal scoring, hula-hoop, hopscotch, face painting and mini basket ball to name but a few. Simba the Lion will be helping out, keeping kids of all ages entertained and most importantly having fun.
“Family well-being has taken a far more important role in family life in recent years. In recognising these trends, we are constantly embarking on innovative ways to transform our brands and provide improved alternatives for our consumers. On this journey to health and wellness we are keeping up our commitment to Corporate Social Investment by introducing an initiative called Ready Steady Go. Ready Steady Go is a programme that aims to promote an active and outdoor lifestyle amongst South Africans of all ages whilst having fun. Through Ready Steady Go, we hope to encourage parents to spend more time outdoors playing and having fun with their kids.” says Lauren Siebrits, CEO Simba.
Visit the Baked Simba Activity Area at The Baby Expo Cape Town, held from 7 - 9 November at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Doors at the expo will be open from 9am - 6pm daily, and tickets are R40 per person, with kids under the age of 10 getting in for free.
