International jewellery congress opens in Mother City
Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo Ngcuka is the guest of honour at the 2007 congress of CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, which opened on Monday, 12 March 2007, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The four-day congress, hosted by the Jewellery Council of South Africa and sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry and De Beers, is being held in Africa for the first time. Comments Dirk Elzinga, MD of the CTICC, “It is another important international gathering experiencing the quality Cape Town has to offer.”
