The Social Entrepreneur special issue, which was published for the launch of The Social Entrepreneur Awards that took place at the World Economic Forum in Cape Town in last year, may be the first magazine focusing on social entrepreneurs in the world, according to publisher Darryl Egnal of Creative Heart Artwork. “There are two magazines, one in the UK and one in Canada, that cover social enterprises, businesses that have a social edge, but none of these aim to promote individuals that start and run businesses with a focus on social action,” she says.
