Woolies on Chinese imports
Woolworths maintains its priority in food sourcing is to establish long term relationships with local, South African suppliers wherever possible. Where this is not possible, Woolworths will import food products; however less than 10% of its food items are imported and only a small percentage of that is imported from China. These include oriental mix, raw walnuts, jumbo peanuts, honey roasted peanuts and raw pinenut kernels.
