In association with the annual 2007 Joburg and Cape Town Pride celebrations, Cinema Nouveau screened by Jameson next week launches its first-ever Pride Film Festival, highlighting the best in gay cinema in true ‘upper class' style. Featuring nine diverse films, the festival aims to move and engage the gay and lesbian community – and their friends and family. In line with the celebratory tone of Pride, the festival has moved away from the genre's traditionally issue-based fare, with ‘in-flight' entertainment value being the key criterion in selecting the films on offer.
