At the recent SAPOA property awards, Design Quarter in Fourways, Johannesburg, received the 2006 Retail Development Award in the Innovative Excellence in Property Development category. “Since Design Quarter's launch late 2005, the property industry and consumers have embraced its timeless minimalist architecture,” says Nicole Fischer, head of marketing for Zenprop Property Holdings. The concept behind the centre is to create experiential, niche retail within a creative space far beyond the classical shopping experience.
