The Battle of the Bands is on again this year at the Loeries' festival weekend, on Sunday 27 July at 1pm (by which time most of the hardened rockers should be able to drag themselves out of bed...) on Margate Main Beach at the SABC Stage. Agency bands must register prior to the festival weekend at www.gomargate.co.za/tlabattlebands.html. There they will find an entry form to download, which they must fax to +27 (0)866 186 502, together with a technical rider. Backline and drum kits will be supplied, but bands must bring their own guitars to play or to smash.
