Kurt Mitterböck has been appointed as the Mondi Group Technical Director with effect from the 1st of May 2005. Kurt has been with the Mondi Group for 15 years, having joined Neusiedler (now renamed Mondi Business Paper) as Chief Operations Officer since 1989.

David Hathorn, CEO of Mondi, said "I am delighted to confirm Kurt's appointment. He brings with him a wealth of experience and will be an invaluable member of the Mondi executive team."

Kurt is replacing Ladimir Pellizzaro who is retiring from Mondi on the 1st of June 2005 and David said "I would like to wish Ladimir well in his retirement and am very pleased that Ladimir will remain as a non-executive director of the Mondi Group."
