Barry Sayer, Chief Executive of Clear Channel Independent (Pty) Ltd has announced that Paul Meyer, Global President and Chief Operating Officer of Clear Channel Outdoor Worldwide has joined the Board of Clear Channel Independent, South Africa's largest billboard company according to Ad Index, which also trades in 12 other countries of sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to being named President of Clear Channel Outdoor's worldwide operations, Paul Meyer held the position of President and CEO of Clear Channel Outdoor's North and Latin American division. Mr. Meyer served as the Company's Executive Vice President and General Counsel before being named its President in 1999.

Mr. Meyer currently serves as the elected Chairman of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. He also serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Traffic Audit Bureau and is its Secretary/Treasurer. He is a member of a number of boards of nonprofit organizations.

Clear Channel Outdoor Worldwide lists separately on the New York Stock Exchange this month.
