Aletta Alberts, who has been acting GM since April, has now been officially appointed as the General Manager of SABC2.

Alberts joined the SABC in 1987 as a production secretary. She became an assistant producer in June 1989 and was appointed manager: On-Air Presentation for SABC2 in 1996. In November 2001 she was appointed as the SABC2's head of programming.
