Sport24 scores seasoned columnist Rob Houwing
Sport24 welcomes Rob Houwing, an award-winning sports journalist, as a regular columnist on the site.

In his new role, Houwing will produce several weekly features, including a multi-sport opinion piece, a TV sport recommendation/round-up and an insightful Q&A. In addition, Houwing will provide timely commentary following all Proteas, Boks and Bafana matches, a regular cricket column and maintain his own blog on the 24.com network to interact with sports fans.

Previously editor of The Widen Cricketer, Houwing will remain contributing editor to Sports Illustrated. A veteran reporter, Houwing began his career in journalism in 1984 with The Argus, and has spent nearly a decade at Touchline Media and four years in Hong Kong with the South China Morning Post in a variety of editing and writing roles.
