The Johannesburg office of Marcus Brewster Publicity (MBP) has announced the appointment of two new PR consultants. Simon Letanta and Viwe Yoyo have been invited to join the award-winning firm's permanent staff in the capacity of junior account executives.

Letanta, with a BA (PR) from the Midrand Graduate Institute, joins MBP's corporate practice area under the mentorship of account director Nadia Vosloo. Letanta previously lectured communication and management at the MSC College and worked at the public service commission. Letanta will work on TOTAL SA, Calibre Clinical Consultants and Carling Black Label amongst other key accounts.

Yoyo has a national diploma in PR from the University of Johannesburg where she also served as a co-operative education co-ordinator before gaining consultancy experience as a junior accounts manager. Yoyo will assist associate Micky Soliani in the firm's commercial practice area working on accounts such as Emerald Casino Resort, National Zoological Gardens and SAB brands Peroni, MGD and Pilsner Urquell.

MBP earned a record-setting seven trophies at the 2008 PRISM award ceremony for PR Excellence held in March this year.
