''Where do we come from?'' on Carte Blanche
If any of you missed it - on Sunday night Carte Blanche aired a very interesting show, tracing DNA and lineage back across the world.

Indeed very interesting to show migration patterns and the reasons that the world is populated the way it is. However, there was an undertone of 'see we all come from Africa and so we are all the same and equal so there'. It smelt like a 1950s documentary about how not to be racist.

I just don't get the reasoning - if it was meant to be propagandist it should not be on Carte Blanche and if it is scientific then there was no reason to include a political slant. While I agree that we are similar and the same and only culture separates us, why was this an issue in the show???

I just don't get the motivation. As a documentary, so much information was left out that is really interesting - am I the only one that was puzzled?
