Exploiting Students
Expecting Students to work for nothing

My son (a varsity student) has been doing promotions for The Creative Counsel for many months. Now, unless he makes a trip to the offices in Sandton to collect promotional items beforehand and returns them afterwards... a round trip of approx. 120km... he doesn't get included in the promotion. He makes R120 for an evenings work, out of which he is already paying petrol to and from the venue (not a problem), but the cost of the additional travelling actually works out that he makes a loss. When he tries to explain this to the campaign managers, they just tell him he doesn't have to work, or ignore him and give him no further details, despite him following up. I find this grossly unjust to students who are trying to get out there and earn some honest money !!!!
