Why does South Africa copy american shows
Survivor South Africa, Biggest loser South Africa, Fear Factor South Africa ..etc

why do we have to follow these guys when we could come up with our own homegrown ideas for reality tv. there are a lot of shows that are not franchises from USA but you still get the feel of what american sitcom inspired the idea. South Africa has really set a precedent in the states. What huge award winning movie that has any aspect of Africa has lacked anything mzansi. i have seen movies about rwanda with zulu music ..etc . so my question is this ... Do we have to wait for americans to set the pace for us in all regards of our industry? i aint trying to hurt nobody .. it's just an observation and a thought.
