The Western Province Gymnastics Association is holding a Gymnastics Festival.

1.Western Province Team Trials for Western Cape Championships
In order to select the higher levels for the Western Province Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics Team for the Western Cape
Championships, a competition will be held on Thursday 28 August.

2. South Zone
SAGF divides the country into Zones. Western Province Gymnastics
is part of the South African Gymnastics South Zone for Tumbling.
This South Zone Tumbling competition is for the lower levels that
do not go to the SAGF Nationals. The Tumbling South Zone
competition takes place on Friday 29 August.

3. Western Province Trials for SAGF Nationals
For gymnasts to qualify for the SAGF Nationals and to obtain their Western Province Colours they need to compete in the Western Province Trials. The Western Province Tumbling, Aerobics and Acrobatics Trials will take place on Friday 29 August and the
Rhythmic Trials will take place on Saturday 30 August 2008.

4. Western Cape Gymnastics Championships
The regions of Boland, Western Province and South Western Districts form the Western Cape Province.
The Western Cape Gymnastics Championships is held in order to select a Western Cape Gymnastics Team to go to the SAGF Nationals. On Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August
the Western Cape Gymnastics Team for Trampoline and Women's and Men's Artistic gymnastics will be selected.
On Saturday 30 August the Rhythmic Team will be selected.

5. Western Province 2009 SA Games Team Trials
Every two years, Sports and Recreation South Africa hold the
South African Games. Gymnastics is part of the SA Games.
A Western Province Team will be selected to participate in the Western Cape Team Competition. The Provincial Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport is a co-sponsor of this event. The Western Province Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics 2009 Team
selection will take place on Thursday 28 August. Rhythmic will
take place on Saturday 30 August.

6. Western Cape 2009 SA Games Team Trials
A Western Cape 2009 South African Games Team needs to be
selected from Boland, South Western Districts and Western Province.
The Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics 2009 Team selection
will take place from Friday 29 to Saturday 30 August and
Rhythmic will take place on Saturday 30 August.

While there are six distinct competitions taking place, the results and performance from a particular event may in some cases be used for the selection of more than one team.
