Adobe Illustrator is a drawing-orientated application. Similar to CorelDraw and Macromedia Freehand, but richer in scope and deeper in complexity, it is used for creating illustrations in vector format, logos and packaging, amongst others.
Integrating with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, it forms part of a full desktop publishing solution, though it can be used for web and animation graphics as well.
Course prerequisites:
Knowledge of drawing applications is an advantage. It would be best to have done InDesign and Photoshop prior to doing this course.
