Intensive training in investigative journalism skills and enables African analytical journalists to come together from all corners of the continent to discuss common challenges
Wits Journalism invites you to the annual Power Reporting Workshop, taking place from Monday, 27 October - Wednesday, 29 October 2008. The Wits Power Reporting Workshop has become an important annual event on the African media training and conferencing calendar. It offers intensive training in investigative journalism skills and enables African analytical journalists to come together from all corners of the continent to discuss common challenges, sharpen their exploratory skills and interact with their colleagues from the rest of the world.

There is a special focus also on business and financial forensic reporting. The workshop is organised by Wits University's Investigative Journalism Workshop (IJW) in conjunction with the Forum for African Investigative Reporters (FAIR), the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism in Johannesburg (IAJ), International Reporters and Editors (IRE), the Centre for Investigative Journalism in London and MISA (Media Institute of Southern Africa).
