Practical exercises to master the art of writing. Creating publicity for radio, television, magazines and newspapers.
• Writing and editing for newspapers and magazines: How to write press releases, feature articles, captions for photographs.
• Writing for radio and television: Radio release, mini-documentary, story board, scriptwriting, video news release and producing corporate videos.
• Writing for business: Speech writing, layout and design of posters, brochures and other publications. Writing, designing and producing annual reports, newsletters and web pages. Television proposals, video scripts, video news releases.

Entry requirements: a public relations environment.

26 -30 May (week one)
and
7-11 July (week two) exam on last day
Monday to Friday
8:30am - 4:30pm

Assessments: Continuous practical writing assignments. Open book exam on last day of course, based on an industry case study.
