Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Conference of the South African Institute of Health Care Managers (SAIHCM) at the CSIR Convention Centre in Pretoria on 30 and 31 October 2008.

The theme is Inspirational Leadership. Discussions and presentations will focus on the role that health care professionals, i.e. doctors, nurses and other personnel play in improving the management of scarce health care resources in the private and public health care sectors.

Speakers include leaders and experts from the academic and training environment, public and private hospital field, independent consultants and health care professionals, political and civil society leaders and researchers.

SAIHCM is a not-for-profit member-driven organisation for professional health care managers. It promotes the important role of health care managers in providing access to quality health care, using best practices as identified in other international models, but adapted to meet South Africa's specific needs in the field.
