Diabetes Lifestyle Roadshow 2008

Between five to six million South Africans have been diagnosed with diabetes, with this figure expected to rise 25% by 2020.

Living with diabetes is often seen as a disadvantage, however with the correct lifestyle modifications, diabetes is a manageable condition. Despite this many South Africans are still unaware of diabetes and remain undiagnosed

Thus in a nationwide drive to educate the public - Diabion, LifeScan, Equal low kilojoule sweetener and Diabetes SA have joined forces to host a national diabetic road show, incorporating talks from a dietician, a biokineticist and a diabetes nurse educator.

Entrance to the event is R25 per person, with partners free.
