SMME Conference 2008

SMME Conference, hosted by Oxygen Event Management, offers opportunities for entrepreneurs from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

The South African Government desperately requires entrepreneurs to assist with creating employment opportunities and contributing to solving the National Xenophobia attacks that have been caused by the high rate of unemployment.

We are proud to announce that Oxygen Events Management will be hosting a SMME Conference on the 1st of September 2008 at the Sandton Convention Centre. Great opportunities are available for entrepreneurs arising from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. It is crucial for emerging small businesses to seize these opportunities and maximise the utilisation of resources to promote economic growth in Gauteng.

The mission of the Conference is to empower start-up businesses and offer them easy access to available grants, support initiatives, guidance, training, sponsorship, preferential procurement and networking opportunities to grow their business.

The following missions are entrenched for the Conference:
Optimising the SMMEs' contribution for employment and economic development
Increasing the rate of graduation of micro-enterprises into the SME categories
Raising performance of existing SMMEs
Raising the rate of formation of new SMMEs with growth potential
