Since its inception in 1999 The Communication Academy has offered focused communication and selling skills training to Executives in a cross section of industry throughout Africa.
Delia Thompson (CEO) who spent four years in the corporate environment as a Sales Manager started the Communication Academy after receiving her LTCL from the Trinity College of London (affiliated to Cambridge University) in speech and communication – teaching diploma.
Marc Andrew (COO) has a national diploma in marketing and sales management from the Pretoria Tech, and a sales project diploma and train the trainer from the Industrial Society of London. Marc Andrew has sixteen years experience in sales from sales executive all the way through to group sales director for a global business information company at the age of thirty one. Marc Andrew has experience in selling in a cross section of industry including: fmcg, retail, luxury goods, business information, it, financial services, consulting, training, calls centre and recruitment. Marc has also established sales divisions for four large global companies in London, New York, Lagos and Johannesburg, with regards to manpower, systems, strategies, policy and procedure Marc Andrew has also completed training in finance, labor law, human resources, project management, conflict resolution, change management with various training institutions both locally and internationally. In addition Marc Andrew ran two large global accounts for a top consultancy, namely Samsung and Hewlett Packard.
