Tourism
We are delighted that our event will be held during Tourism Month- the annual celebration held in September to focus on the importance of tourism to the economy of South Africa (www.southafrica.net/tourism_month). The Johannesburg Tourism Company are on board to sponsor the "Soweto Experience" at the entrance to the Festival - from the first moment the visitor enters the Festival they will be treated to the amazing sights, sounds and smells of Soweto. Our event will offer visitors a view of Soweto like no other. Tourism destinations throughout South Africa will be exhibiting to showcase the many tourism opportunities open to the Sowetan tourist.

SMME project
The ABSA Soweto festival offers Soweto SMMEs an extremely valuable platform for launching their businesses. Working with GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science) and Business Partners we aim to provide training and mentorship and showcase best practice from corporates who already have established SMME development programmes in place. Your involvement, through sponsorship, will not only expose these businesses to their own Soweto community and the general public at large, but also enable them to market and sell their products and services to potential investors, empowerment partners and financial intermediaries.
We also plan a "Business 2 Business" day event which will bring together micro, small, medium and large companies.
