It actually it isn`t what I thought regarding the decision by Paul Harris to embark on his lone campaign against crime since I thought the countless robberies against his bank branches and client internet crimes and cash-in-transit vehicles robberies are what catapulted him into action but to learn that it was the death of his friend Rattray that caused his action I think it was a waste of the banks money and it was uncalled for.
Of interest is the role played by the government`s sycophants and apparitchiks like Business Leadership SA and the Big Business Working Group in coming to the blind defence of the government leading to there being no plan put in place to fight crime and now the matter has been put to rest.
Of equally important was Nqakula`s interventionist remarks which were:Every one involved had to be wary of counter-productive campaigns that pitted the public against the police or government-and I find this to be the riot act read to Harris.
Right now there are no measures to fight crime against cash-in-transit vehicles or bank robberies which has been sescalating recently but BBWG said that they are discussing initiatives to fight crime.
Now,let me give them some advice.Police need to have a strong presency next to banks to counter-act robberies and ATM crimes and to protect cash-in-transit guards.
Police must be on the look-out for cash-in-transit vehicles and follow them until they leave their jurisdiction and then contact those of the jurisdiction they`re entering to warn them about the presency of the vehicles.
What is this talks, talks and talks with no solution in end?The police that you chased away from the streets must come back to do the abovementioned.
