Recruitment agencies have become like PR agencies – they regurgitate the same schlock for everyone without taking a second to consider whether the person they're pimping actually has any attributes that suit the position they're pitching for. I work in the design field and the amount of CV's we receive that – after we've stipulated InDesign experience – fail to point out that all they have is Coreldraw, is frightening. The sad thing is that the agencies are doing their clients an injustice and after wading through 30 useless CVs I don't bother looking any further and there may just be a gem in there.
