Comments on Freelance Vs Own Agency

Freelance is the way, the truth.... - iTraffic
Take this from someone with terminal freelance disease. Freelance is the way to go. There are obvious advantages like being able to work your own hours, choosing your projects etc but then there's also the fact that you are now a business and you have to treat yorself as such.

Starting an Agency is costly and super risky! I say start out freelancing and build a solid client base and bank balance THEN start the Agency.

Either way it's a BUSINESS!!!

thats kind of my basic thought on the matter .. i would have to wave bye bye to medical aid and the security of a guaranteed salary every month but the pros of freelance definitely out weigh the cons though i would have to establish a name for myself before i do this ... thanks all the same.

Agency  by  PhibaOptik
Does this mean that I am actually a FREELANCER???

Because i have a registered business and a VAT number, but it's just me running the show... and i consider myself an agency.. since i'm poised to employ 2 people, but the right people have not come along yet.

think before you jump... - J
interrogate your strengths and weaknesses with brutal truth and then market yourself as a 110% specialist in one area of expertise, rather than a diluted offering of 10% in all fields, which is currently happening in the events industry bringing the overall high standard of the industry down due to personal greed and lack of experience - all at the cost of the client and professional event agencies who do offer credible experience. Garage event companies are truely run by mechanics.
