RED AND YELLOW
The major differentiator between AAA and Red and Yellow is the quality and quantity of 'live projects'

Red and Yellow dont 'do' pure theory. This means that everything you do is a real project, with a real brief from a real client intended for real world use. You are coached by professionals but judged by the real world consequently if you are doing well at R & Y you are doing well in the real world. Thus employable and work place ready with a quality portfolio where your work may well already be in use by the time you leave college. The real brands this year included, Levi's, FNB, Absolut, Jack Daniels, Hennessey, Fruit & Veg city, SOCO to name a few

AAA is a quality institution but there are fewer live projects and the caliber is not the same. Creative courses are about experience not theory...

VEGA VEGA VEGA!!!!
Have you considered Vega? I owe my success to them, great theoretical and practical elements to my studies. A really personal approach to students and fun environment too.

AAA  by  AAA Success
AAA coaches theory, and do offer working on live client briefs. Furthermore at AAA you are afforded the opportunity to work on integrated campaigns together with marketing, design and Art direction students (kinda like mini agencies)

VEGA silly, Vega!
I truly believe that you should consider Vega, not only is it a degree that teaches you how to think and to consider the bigger concepts of life and the ways of thinking, but it taught me about branding, which is more than just being able to design or advertise, but to think intellectually and with purpose! And they've got style! And, their curriculum is revised every year, AND they keep pushing the boundaries with new initiatives on a daily basis. They are the industry! Do your homework, read about them, and phone industry to find out what they think. Going to Vega is an advantage!

think again...
advertising school should be the cherry on the cake..have you already got a university degree?...as for the calibre of staff in these schools (vega, r&y, aaa...) well, all i can say is that i would rather save up my pennies and study at a reputable school in an international city like NY or london...qualifications from pratt institute or london college of printing are truly portable and held in high esteem all over the world

AAA  by  tinojino
I think AAA is the best marketing school ever. I know ther are also international marketing schools (vega, etc), however what matters is the qualification.

AAA/Red and Yellow - Maxi
I guess I'm a bit late in replying to a question that was posed in December, so I assume you made a decision between AAA and Red and Yellow. I was in Cape Town in June to visit both schools, since I'm also in the same decision-making situation.
I would like to know which school you ultimately settled on and why... What course did you apply for, and was it difficult to get accepted? What do you think counted in your favour?
