why plea?  by  Arthur
I'm kinda appalled by the fact that you plea..
This is not difficult at all..

Why does it have to stop with a magazine?
Firstly you need to get volunteers to buy into the vision.
Then, with those people's skills set up a media centre.
I'm sure some people will eb able to handle scissors, pens, pencils etc.. even computers.. sell a photocopying service, design, DTP, printing, publishing, sell computer time (CV typing etc.)

Use your volunteer contingent to sell advertising space, to source content, sell your auxiliary services.. and also do the physical work on your projects..

And since it's youth-oriented, i'm sure youth will be only too glad to get involved - if you pitch it right. This will be good for their CVs and experience.

The only thing you'll really need money is the technology infrastructure, and there are organisations like Umsobomvu (www.uyf.org.za) that will throw money at a project like this..

We gotta stop thinking about magazines along the lines of publishing standards set by Y, SL and other youth titles.. those cats had it easy right from the getgo..
and the funny things is.. this will be REAL BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT..

can i get a AMEN

RE:Fix your website Arthur
Fix your computer and update your archaic software! The site works just fine. You are the only person that has lodged a complaint with the site.
