I agree, no passenger should be forced to smile and make idle conversation if they dont want to. Occasionally you find yourself talking to a fellow passenger and thats ok because you choose to. But when you are forced, it just makes your journey uncomfortable. Not everyone feels fun and chatty during flights and as outrageous as this little marketing tactic may be, its not everyones taste.
