You are entitled to Maternity leave of 4 months, but it will be unpaid - the contract period will continue and you can return to your employment after the leave period - the company/employer does not have to pay you but must have your position available for you when you return. Should the end of your contract period fall within your maternity leave, it will just expire and you will have to look for a new position - unless you can negotiate an extension
