Whatever you do...
Whatever you do, don't do a journalism course with Birnam Business College. I did a course many moons ago, and it was a total waste of time and money. Sorry, don't mean to slam the college, just the course.

Where to study - Nero
Try the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ), and the Wits journ department. Both run short courses I think...

They offer online specialized journalism courses , ie: Magazine Journalism .
Alot of the very good journalists and freelance journalists did a course with SA Writers College. www.sawriterscollege.co.za
