It's unfortunate for the webcam...it doesn't have a good rep. It's generally associated with porn sites and paediophiles BUT there are good uses for it. I know of a company called "Sh1t Happens" (yeah that's their name)it's a division of "SJ&H" it's pretty new and is currently working on charities and ngo's in crisis. It's a pretty bold name...anyway getting back from my tangent...they tried the whole webcam deal and found that it created a personal touch that phone calls didn't. It did have its cons though. Such things as, the people your helping/interests are invested in, need to have a camera (A pretty obvious need) and your clients need to be computer literate among many other things. Sh1t found that because they were working with destatute communities, computer technology of this sort was not useful and they scrapped the idea. you've got to look at what your needs are and the needs of your client and whether a webcam or live video chat will aid or hinder you.
