It's true where are all the music related jobs?! - Anon 2
It’s true anon I am also in the same situation, I studied sound engineering it been 2yrs since I’ve completed my studies the r no jobs in this industry it’s a serious issue or I don’t know whether the jobs r not being advertised.
The more people steal music, the smaller the profits for the industry and the fewer people it can employ. Even the major record companies are but a fraction of the size that they were in SA 15 years ago.
Unless the thieves are stopped, the jobs will continue to dwindle. It is simple maths people.
Stop sipping music and sharing it with your friends and stop putting music that is not yours on your ipod and the business will have the chance to regenerate itself. Continue being criminals, and it will die.
The Music Biz is as real as it gets and as tough as it gets. Working in a very competitive, shrinking industry that pays very little to those that do manage to actually get one of the few jobs available is not an easy task.
If you manage to actually make a living in the music business, well done to you.
