Not that shabby actually... - 2010 Kick-off Celebration artist lineup announced
Alicia Keys, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Shakira, Tinariwen are all good acts - and sing/perform with a global message. Damn, I would go just to see Shakira. I think the balance of the bill are representative of the spirit of the entire continent, and not just us few grains of sand in the southern arse-end of nowhere. We forget sometimes that the world is watching..the artists have been chosen for them too, not just us.Posted on 17 Mar 2010 21:39

Nice List. - 30 things learnt about running social media campaigns
But...Why is "You still need a Good idea" only #27 on the list.
Is the list in order of importance?
I would have placed it first.
If you don't have a good idea, you're kind of on social media just for the sake of being there... Or not?Posted on 17 Mar 2010 16:21

Get tickets - Can Couchsurfing turbocharge last-minute bookings for 2010?
I think that locals can still get tickets and should try to go to at least one game at their local stadium. Even if it is a small game as least you can say "I was there".Posted on 17 Mar 2010 16:02

I understood that the blue light thing was not legal - Blue-light brigade assaults journalist
I was flashed and almost shoved off the road by a large Mercedes flashing blue lights, coming out of OR Tambo recently. I was not in the way, merely driving at the speed limit. Who are these arrogant people and why are they allowed to be road bullies and what gives them the right to act as if they are above the law? We need to understand if they do in fact have the right to act above the law and push us regular law abiding citizens around. It really smacks of Banana Republicdom and augers badly for the future. Or are we happy to accept that we are a Banana Republic? I sure as hell am not!Posted on 17 Mar 2010 10:18

And when they shoot someone? - Blue-light brigade assaults journalist
This is way out of hand, and Zuma is unlikely to do anything. It's only a matter of time before one of these morons shoots and kills someone; at least one person has been killed after one of the blue-light brigade's vehicles was involved in an accident. This short of thing is arrogance at its worst, and the more it occurs, the closer we get to banana republic status.Posted on 17 Mar 2010 09:31
