MULTI-MEDIA PROFESSIONAL TRAINING  by  RICKY
“The world of Radio and Television has become so competitive that the correct Training is the only way you can ensure you are considered as a serious candidate these…”Devi Sankaree- Govender”
‘Understanding the Technical side of the Radio and TV world is vital to anyone in the business! This will ensure that you have more value to any Radio or TV station and will help you use new technology much better than anyone else……”Manick Thor”
Says Ricky Singh, Senior Course Leader
“As Media Professionals, we recognize the immediate need for those entering the Media Field to be skilled in not just the areas of Radio and Television Presenting but a broader skills set encompassing Radio, TV, Web, Mobile and the related platforms within each of these Media fields.
In this way, students would be “ready-for-the-job-market” with a full grasp of the real skills that Media owners require from their new employees. As an example, Radio stations are no longer employing “Radio DJ’s” but are instead looking for “Multi-Media Content Providers” ”.
In other words, they require people entering the industry to have a full grasp of:
? The Different types of Media Platforms (EG. Radio, TV, Web, Mobile, Outdoor etc)
? The Different Platforms within each Media Type (Eg. Blogs, Chat rooms, etc)
? Their importance and relevance to today’s brands and consumers
? as well as the “How To” in the areas of conceptualizing ideas,
? developing Multi-Media content,
? packaging Multi-Media content and
? monetizing Multi-Media Content
We have been developing Multi-Media strategies for Media Owners in the past year and we would like to train you to become a “Multi-Media Professional”

Well...  by  eezee
If you're still in high school make sure that when you matriculate you enroll into an institution that has Campus Radio, if not go to your local community radio station with your demo or 'talk' to its manager.
Retail radio stations like StarRadio, Jet In-store & Pick n' Pay Radio are also good platforms to build your CV. As for the PBS & commercial stations, these days tis easier to get in there by being a groupy as someone has said, like Skhova & Mr T, or a 'pretty' face like Phuthi or Katlego Danke, than it is with 'real talent'.

But the good news is that there are avenues, like the Y-Academy & 94.7 Hot-Jocks, which are breeding some of the best future talents.

But if I should advice the best thing to do is to 'push' your way into the industry, you won't be where you want to be by sending emails to station managers and them, nag them in person.

Good luck!

pimp your profile  by  CRYZRADIOFAN
Just like eezy said.

The best way to get into radio is by doing a lot of small radio gigs and building your profile as well as your confidence.expose your voice by doing ads, voice-overs, so people can warm up to your voice.vocal training is also essential they is nothing more annoying than a announcer that mumbles. Retail radio stations are a good place to start. Companies such as Comutanet radio, Adsat satellite radio, Audioescapes and Airmedia might help. Please accept the reality that you won’t get paid at beginning but as your profile gets better you’ll see the results ‘Humble yourself you’ll stumble on wealth’, remember if you are good you're good so keep pushing. Good luck
