The fact that Khaya is doing what he knows best this does not give anybody a platform to chastice him. Everybody has freedom of speech as outlined by the constitution of the country. All DJ's are human and they sometimes make mistakes on air. He is human. The fact that he has been into Communication makes him more good as a DJ. He communicates well and doing it with deligence. You thought Khaya Kool was DOWN- HA HA HA HA HA!!! You just can't put this one DOWN. Only a matter of one month in NWFM he is already commanding huge support eventhough he is doing a MID-MORNING SHOW. He was off air for the past FIVE years but sound like he is been working on Radio without a break. Some people are afraid that Khaya Kool is making inroads faster they thought. He once interviewed MEC Vilakazi telephonically I (think) because if it was live the MEC could have given him a "lekker klap". The question was:- "MEC you are known for dressing up and getting down". First of all... the MEC is a Public Figure & a role model, how dare do you confront him about him getting down. His fake accent also gives me headaches. Today 16.04.08 he asked people to tell him who can throw the best party. Someone answered "Mr T" he then said [You should give me his numbers I wanted him about a show that dealt with...] something that didn't have anything to do with today's show. He is definitely the weakest link on NW FM. The station will be perfect without him (without his fake 2 weeks visit to the States accent).

I have been a follower of Khaya Kool as far as back on Radio Bop(1996). Its a Fact, that Khaya Kool studied in America and obtained his degree in Chemistry and Communications there. Furthermore, he worked for a prediminantly black radio station there, and was further poached by a white Radio Station in Dayton Ohio before he came back to South Africa. It is also a fact, that Khaya Kool changed the landscape of Radio here in South Africa before the likes of Yfm came to existance. For your information, he was the first to play Hip-Hop as a full show in a South African black Radio-(DO YUORSELF A FAVUOR ADND ASK THOSE WHO KNOW RADIO), he was also the 1st to invite club Djs to play in his drive show. All the show he DID on Radio Bop were number one including THE MIDNIGHT SHOW- DO YOU GET ME!!!. KHAYA KOOL IS BACK ITS KICKING ASSSS TIME, WHEATHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!!!!!

Unfortunately you are his number 1 fan-follower...hey wake up times are changing so he must improve and stop telling us about how bad other Radio guys are...

I have researched about Khaya Cool when I was doing my Communication degree at North West University(2000) and Khaya Cool worked for Radio Stations in America. Khaya Cool was in America for 12years. Khaya o rock. I only went home for a wknd, and damn i was impressed. as well as the station. its only abt two if m not mistaken and yeh it rocks. keep up the good work.

Most of the Campus & Community radio DJs I know were inspired by Khaya. The man did well during his Radio Bop times with his College night show together with his crazy breakfast show. Many radio DJs started to copy his style. I'm not sure about now since I'm talking about the times of Radio Bop. I still beleave that he rocks big time, unlike some of Motsweding FM DJs that are only there to make noise & not even showing respect to their listeners.

I agree that radio Bop changed the landscape of radio in South Africa. Khaya Kool also played a vital role in this regard. But at the same time, times are changing as much as ideas i.e. presentation and production in radio spectrum. Moreover it is very much premature to compare motsweding and NWFM. Motsweding is Public broadcaster as a result its out put will driven by more information, education and less entertainment. NWFM is commercially driven this basically means is its output will be entertaining to attract sponsors across the board. Each every dj has his own style of presentation so there is no need for us to judge.

what? Khaya joining Metro or Khaya! that man is not talented, i have always wondered how he got into this industry. the less said about his voice the better. he bores me to death. i live in Rustenburg and everytime i hear his voice i tune out.

The unfortunate thing about twits like you Donald is that you have a NARROW understanding of Radio. Gone are the days of PEOPLE like you Donald, whereby On Air Personalities have the SAME voices and listerners are confused of relating to Djs. Khaya' voice is UNIQUE, Unique in a sence that you can brand AROUND it. For example, Chris Rock's voice is unique as compared to other comedians.
