Comments on Finweek versus the ABC: is it fraud or politics?

FinWeek Facing Consumer Resistance  by  Johan Van der Merwe
I use to sell advertising space in Finweek a couple of months ago.The mag is seriously facing consumer resistance due to a lot of management issues which are mainly due to lack of adapting to the new South African market.I seriopusly believe it is all doom and gloom for this publication.Just like it's sister publication Gauteng Business,FinWeek will be closed soon.

Another van der Merwe Joke
Please, this is so far fetched it is laughable. Clearly Finweek's competition is pulling out all stops to try and discredit the publication. Most people know that Finweek is a magazine that is held in high regard. This poor soul's (van der Merwe)dream job was probably to for Finweek but was turned away because he was so stupid

Finweek don't need the competition to discredit their publication...
...they're doing a damn fine good job of it themselves.

RE: FinWeek Facing Consumer Resistance  by  Agent5897xx
I couldn't agree with you more vd Merwe. Word has it that the mgt team runs the show like a military base. Some small lion breathing on everyone's neck with a remote control. The agencies know about it.

Rumour has it that some agencies have removed FinWeek from their schedules. This was way before the recent "scandal".The combined English and Afrikaans circulation casts a lot of doubts on people's minds. Please ABC investigate this as well.

What?
Why would a combined Eng & Afr figures be casting doubt in peoples minds. You just add the totals together. Whats the conspiracy theory behind that?

ADD THEM TOGETHER?
Your ignorance is staggering and clearly indicates the level of mis-understanding of the accepted rules. Also, brace yourselves for more bad news when ADEX anounces that the figures they posted for Finweek were actually duplicated as they were measuring the titles twice as opposed to using the one rate for both publications rule.

FINWEEK STAFF, STOP COMMENTING!
The pro FinWeek comments are not very well thought through and trust me, some of the agency people reading these forums have already commented on the idiocy of some of the arguments. My advice, keep quiet, respect the ABC ruling (the rest of the industry does), respect the AMF comments (Business Day article 14/02), apologise and move on. Stop making the product and the industry look even more stupid than you already have.

Shame on the "anti Media24" camp comments  by  Independent
It is so clear there is an anti Media24 camp/campaign by the the negative comments, clearly written by the "opposition" magazine/s. Should those people not simply grow up and watch concerntarte on their own?
