The UBA story is one all Africans in the homeland and Diaspora should identify with. Gladly, the bank, I learnt, has developed products that allows Nigerians resident abroad to transact near-seamless banking businesses. This is good to hear, especially when we are used to stories of war, corruption and hunger coming from the continent. China might just be the linchpin Africa needs to get its acts right and if banks in Nigeria like UBA can lead the way by partnering for infrastructure development, the poor in the country might just be getting the much needed alternatives o their malfunctional political leadership.
