New digital arm boosts HKLM's brand offering

Branding company, HKLM, has launched a specialist multimedia division that offers the full spectrum of digital applications, including 3D rendering and animation, interactive presentations, motion graphics, short movies and videos.

According to Greg Cook, Director of HKLM Digital, the new unit takes HKLM’s holistic brand offering to a new level and aims to enhance the powerful communication value of the visual media.

“As HKLM already had the technical capabilities and extensive digital experience in-house, it made sense for us to set up a specialised business unit,” he said. “Clients benefit from having all the aspects of their brand-building process under one umbrella where all parties understand the strategic intent and work towards a common goal.”

HKLM Digital will advise clients on the most effective digital expression and direction for their brand, using media such as animation, websites and intranet systems, digital presentations, TV, DVD and kiosks. “We can activate brands in a variety of ways using the world of screens,” he said.

The unit has extensive technological capabilities that can be scaled to meet any client’s budget and requirements. “Digital applications can range from a simple interactive presentation for in-house computer networks to motion graphics for broadcast and cellular telecommunications to 3D interior product and industrial design visualisation. We are also partnering with film industry specialists to create world-class short films and videos,” Cook said.

The establishment of HKLM’s digital arm enhances the group’s portfolio of services to enable the group to provide a complete set of branding solutions. “The power – and the possibilities – of using technology to build brands is infinite. HKLM Digital will literally bring a brand to life, enabling clients and consumers to be immersed in the sights and sounds of that brand,” Cook said.

HKLM Digital’s client list already includes blue-chip organisations such as Exxaro, mCel, Southern Sun, Powertech as well as various clients in Nigeria and Dubai.
