The City of Windhoek has awarded the exclusive advertising rights for the installation and maintenance of Street Pole Advertisements to Alliance Media Namibia. Following the tender process the award was made in a 10-year contract whereby Alliance Media will install the structures throughout the Capital City.
Alliance Media Namibia has already begun installing the structures which have been received by the market as a long overdue great alternative outdoor medium. Cell One, Namibia's second entrant into the cellular market has aggressively taken up the structures which has given their outdoor presence a boost, as they now enter into parts of the city that were previously not available. The structures have been lauded as solid, neat, and impactful.
Peter Gathuru, General Manager of Alliance Media Namibia expressed the success of the project by the number of clients calling and asking to advertise on the newly launched structures. “We have been inundated with calls for this new medium whose success is easily seen on the streets. We predict this new form of advertising will be seen as conventional media in the not too distant future, with all media planners and buyers adding this to their media plan.”
