Konitek Training & Development joins ROCCI/BATSA SMME Development Project
Issued by: Konitek Training & Development cc

Konitek Training and Development has embarked on and joined hands with the Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ROCCI) with an SMME Development Project that was initiated by British American Tobacco to assist in the development of SMME's within the greater Roodepoort region.

This initiative has numerous partners involved from both the Private and Public sector that will facilitate, equip and provide participants with skills and a holistic understanding of how to succeed in business.

In support of this initiative Konitek Training and Development has made available its ICT product offering as well as the Company's resources and expertise in the Microsoft Office arena, and will be providing each participant / delegate with a total ICT package as recommended and identified by ROCCI. The “package” will consist of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. According to Adrian Jonck, Project & Development manager at Konitek, they can provide a small business owner with all the necessary computer skills for him/her to be able to create business documents such as letters, faxes business profiles and tender proposals, marketing material, communicate via email and create budgeting spreadsheets or growth charts in Excel.

The unique interactive training is facilitated by an accredited trainer who demonstrates each step, whereby delegates can ask questions and practice the steps and then be evaluated by means of an exercise at the end of a specific section/module.

The training, which commenced on Friday 19 September, will be held at Konitek's Clearwater Training Centre situated on the corner of Christiaan De Wet and Millennium Boulevard in Roodepoort. “This project will be a long term investment from our side and will last approximately a year,” said Jonck.

“Konitek believes that the prime and essential task of any corporate entity is to ensure its continued viability, and it is with this in mind that the company sees supporting this laudable initiative not only an investment opportunity but also a necessity for future success of all businesses in Southern Africa. It is also acknowledged that SMME's contribute 85% towards the Greater Roodepoort Region's economy (Region C), this then substantiates where our future investment and business growth as well as opportunity lies,” he said.
