The Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography would like to congratulate Alwine Nolte, a third-year graphic design student, on her prestigious achievement. The award was granted in the Typography Craft category and her winning project was titled “Bata Schooldaze”.
We would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the four other students from the Academy whose work reached finalist level in the package design and 3D category. Only four gold awards were granted in the student category.
The Loerie Award is the greatest achievement a student can achieve in advertising, communication and design, in Africa and the Middle East. These awards encompass every area of brand communication including radio and print advertising, design, live events, digital media, direct marketing, non-broadcast radio and architecture. This award is also internationally recognised and is the only award endorsed by the Association for Communication and Advertising, the Creative Circle, the Commercial Producers Association, the South African Graphic Design Council (Think), the Digital Forum, and the Communication & Advertising Forum for Empowerment.
Additionally the Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography is proud to announce that we will be hosting the Loerie Travelling Exhibition for the month of October 08. The exhibition showcases this year's winning work.
