Innovative broadcast medium DSTV has selected cinema advertising, and CineMARK, as a major part of their new advertising campaign. The campaign will run for a period of 30 weeks, launching on the 5th September 2008 until the 2nd April 2009.
DStv have elected to advertise on all of CineMARK's Digital screens (a total of 61 screens). This medium is advantageous to DStv as it allows them to customise their campaign by region or cinema complex should they wish to do so.
The duration of DStv's commercials will be 30 seconds, and the total number of screenings will be 64 050.
According to Marketing Manager for DStv, Lefeedi Maja, “Cinema is a highly impactful medium. It also allows us to have fun in creating the ads and allows to consumers to have fun while watching the ads in a relaxed environment.”
