A street market vibe at East Coast House & Garden Show
Issued by: Kagiso Exhibitions & Events

Putting a positive spin on living on the east coast of South Africa, your local East Coast Radio House & Garden Show will do something to ignite your spirit as they celebrate all that is local! The Local Rocks theme will highlight all that is local, funky, fun and right here in front of you.

Diana Chandler, Show Manager says, “Smaller, less established businesses will be able to market their wares at the Show, creating a platform for them to show off through their art and goods from designer confectionary to hand painted linen and home ware, which will also go on sale at the Local Rocks Hall. This hall will be decorated in an eye-catching manner so as to create a vibrant street vibe, in true Durban style.”

For parents who are concerned about bringing their reluctant children along to attend the show, the ‘Kids Zone' is the perfect one-stop children's entertainment spot. Children will be entertained in a safe and secure environment giving parents peace of mind as they shop.

From activities such as mosaic-ing to sand art, parents can leave their children under adult supervision while they enjoy activities from morning to 8pm every evening. The ‘Kids Zone' will offer children from ages 4 and up, a chance to engage in games such as skittles, puppet shows and a colouring and crafts table. A designated crèche will also be allocated for toddlers. A huge canvas will take centre stage at the ‘Kids Zone' as children are invited to paint on the mural throughout the show, which will eventually be donated to a children's home after the show.

“We planned the ‘Kids Zone' around a structured programme this year so that parents can plan their visits and know that their children are safe and are being entertained,” said Terry Angelos from Wart & Fish.

Wart & Fish is a mother-daughter based business, run by Terry Angelos and her mother Tina Wither. Running successfully for the past 6 years they focus on helping moms with a full party service. This team will be adding their charm to both the ‘Kids Zone' and ‘Local Rocks Hall' at this year's East Coast Radio House & Garden Show.
