In light of a magnificent upswing in the 2008 financial year, as well as the acquisition of several new accounts to the portfolio, IDG has taken steps to comply with the BBBEE (Broad Based Economic Empowerment) act issued by the Department of Trade and Industry.
The initiative falls part of a new growth strategy put in place by the group's directors to be more aggressive in the acquisition and tendering of large government and none-government accounts, which will lead to mutually beneficial relationships used in the sustainable development of the group's future concerns.
IDG's current compliance scored the company a level 3 certificate with an overall compliance rating of 76.71%. The table below summarises the group' s BBBEE status.
