Die Burger's popular singing competition U-tune has reached its climax and will wrap up on Friday 17 October at the Joseph Stone auditorium in Athlone. The competition has seen two months of rigorous auditions throughout the Western Cape, including Mitchells Plain, Atlantis, Wynberg, Elsies River, Kraaifontein and Bellville.
The final will comprise of the top 20 finalists performing live on stage, accompanied by well known band Take Note. Idols winner Jody Williams will entertain the crowd as guest artist for the evening.
The winner will walk away with a CD recording contract to the value of R20 000 courtesy of Hoezit Music, R10 000 cash as well as a Vuka XL110 sponsored by Vuka. The runner up will win R3 000 and the second runner up will win R2 000.
All proceeds will be donated to the Eoan Group. Tickets are available at the Joseph Stone auditorium in Athlone or call 021 637 1268/9 to make a booking. Tickets are limited, so be sure to book in advance.
