New Mondi Shanduka Newspaper category

South African newspaper journalists are invited to enter the seventh annual Mondi Shanduka Newspaper Awards, which will be calling for entries towards the middle of November 2007. The prize money has been increased to R15 000 per category winner and an additional category – Popular Journalism – has been included to cater for tabloid journalists.

The deadline for entries is earlier than usual – Friday 25 January 2008 – so avoid that last-minute, post-New Year rush and start gathering your best work from 2007 now!

The awards evening will take place at the Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg on 9 April 2008.

The Vodacom Journalist of the Year Awards were announced on Sunday 4 November and the Magazine Publishers Association of SA PICA awards take place on Wednesday night, 7 November.
