Creating positive brand-building experiences

Promotion and tactical direct marketing specialist Habari Direct has sourced two new partners to add to the variety of rewards available to clients aiming to generate effective, brand-building lifestyle promotions.

Effective October 2008, Habari Direct has brought on board South Africa's leading fitness and weight-control programme Run/Walk for Life, as well as an innovative self-test alcohol breathalyser.

Both partners were actively sourced in a bid to extend the rewards currently offered by Habari Direct promotional activities into a more ‘lifestyle conscious' zone, in recognition of the fact that today's consumers are increasingly aware of the importance of healthy living.

“Retail shelves are littered with promotions and competitions, offering prizes ranging from high-end electronic goods to once-in-lifetime international holidays. To compete against this clutter, it's vitally important that we offer rewards that are in-tune with the consumer mindset, and that actively invite interaction with the brand,” explains Cornelis Ouwehand, GM of Habari Direct Partners.

If the reward is right, half the battle is won before the promotion even begins.

The agreement with Run/Walk for Life sees the organisation placing a month's free trial membership on the rewards table, simultaneously adding to Habari Direct's rewards cache and increasing consumer exposure to this highly-respected active lifestyle programme.

The breathalyser is a clinically-proven, self-test model that offers a 99% accurate reading for alcohol. Simply breathe in and blow out - if the reading is green, you're too drunk to drive. Endorsed by Arrive Alive as well as French, Italian and Israeli law enforcement agencies, the breathalyser can be packaged according to individual brand specifications - the perfect way to showcase socially-responsible messaging.

“Both reward partners bring something really new and innovative to the Habari Direct stable, allowing our clients to explore new and exciting avenues with their promotions, and continue building successful relationships with their customers,” says Ouwehand.

“Our reward offers now stretch the gamut from luxury and self-indulgent, to self-aware and socially-responsible,” he adds.

Other Habari Direct reward partners include the likes of Planet Fitness, 1Time, Contours Express, Shapes for Women, Dreamnails, Sterkinekor, Primi Piatti, Downhill Adventures and Moms & Tots.

All partners have been specifically sourced in a bid to provide Habari Direct clients with a vast range of rewards that not only encourage consumer interaction, but that also ensure that this interaction leaves a positive impression upon those consumers.
