Comutanet and Thokoman Peanut Butter spread the fun

To raise awareness and educate South African commuters about Thokoman's smooth and crunchy peanut butter, the company enlisted ComutaNet's branded taxi services to relay an advertising campaign throughout Gauteng and Thohoyandou (Limpopo) for a period of six months.

ComutaNet's campaign consists of a fleet of playfully branded taxis carrying the Thokoman communiqué “A wise Mum's choice” and “Hey Mum, spread the fun!”

“Not only does the campaign create awareness for Thokoman, but their payoff line, 'A wise Mum's choice', drives home the message that Thokoman is the best health purchase Mums can make for their families,” says Kevin Kirby, ComutaNet's General Manager Marketing and Strategy.

The six-month campaign exposes millions of commuters, motorists and pedestrians to Thokoman's message, educating the nation's breadwinners and their families on the availability of the product to ensure that when consumers are in-store, they recall the packaging.

To be in no doubt that Thokoman achieves its objective of creating awareness, their creative included reference to their website where consumers can log in to download delicious recipes for peanut butter. In addition they can share/post their own peanut butter recipes, enter the ‘Fun Corner' where kids can play games on line and also read up on product and company information. “The combined marketing campaign reinforces Thokoman's positioning of being the sandwich decorators who offer the highest quality at the most affordable price,” says Kirby.
